Inscripta Direct Speech Recognition Featured on National TV News

AI-powered speech recognition solution Inscripta Direct was featured on national television in Finland as part of a news story about the digital transformation of social and healthcare services. The topic was covered on Kymmenen Uutiset on April 19, 2026, and on the morning broadcast Huomenta Suomi on April 20, 2026 on MTV Uutiset.

The report followed the workday of social instructor Kalle Itkonen at the Kanta-Hämeen hyvinvointialue wellbeing services county. Using an AI-powered dictation tool, he dictates client documentation which is converted into ready-to-use text in real time.

Previously, documentation could take up to 40 percent of a professional’s working time. With speech recognition, the process has become significantly faster and more efficient.

“In this line of work, documentation is the single biggest workload factor. It causes stress,” says social instructor Kalle Itkonen in the report.

AI significantly reduces documentation time

According to development manager Hanna Narsakka from Oma Häme, AI-assisted tools have already shown promising results in daily work.

Tasks that previously took around 30 minutes to document can now be completed in approximately 10 minutes with AI-assisted tools. At the same time, the workload for professionals decreases and more time becomes available for client interaction.

Currently, only about 10 percent of professionals working in client-facing roles are using AI tools, but the potential for wider adoption is significant.

More time for clients

Speech recognition technology allows professionals in social services to focus more on meaningful client interaction. According to Itkonen, one of the biggest improvements is no longer having to worry about a backlog of documentation at the end of the day.

“I no longer have to think about a huge backlog of notes waiting to be entered into the client information system. It has changed the work a lot.”

The benefits are also visible for clients, as information about them becomes available in systems more quickly.

“In a way, everyone wins.”
